GetFitter, an online fitness trainer web application, was designed for users to maintain their fitness levels through accessing diverse exercises and booking personalized training sessions. However, their aging website, built with outdated technologies, started experiencing technical issues and user complaints. To address these concerns and provide an enhanced user experience, I embarked on a project to completely rebuild the GetFitter platform from scratch.
The new GetFitter boasts comprehensive documentation, organized code structure, and seamless user management features. Users can browse through a diverse exercise library, book personalized training sessions with ease, and even submit their own custom exercises. A session-based access system ensures security and data integrity, while a modern and aesthetic user interface provides for intuitive navigation and clear information display. Error handling is also implemented for a smooth user experience.The backend database was carefully designed with logically organized tables, encompassing all necessary fields with appropriate data types for efficient storage and data integrity.This project transformed GetFitter into a modern, user-friendly, and efficient platform, empowering users to achieve their fitness goals with greater convenience and engagement.
